difference between icelink r3 and r2;

difference between icelink r3 and r2;
I know the 2002 acura cl needs the icelink kit # I11_honda_r2, but I am having a hard time finding one in my area, the only one I can find is the I20-HONDA-R3 made for the 2004+ TL, does anyone know what the differences are and if this will work in my 2002?

The PIE HON98-AUX doesn't work on my 2001 CL either... just spreadin' the word.
Logjam Electronics also takes 4-6 weeks to process a refund after you ship the product back even though their website says the device will work in your vehicle. Grrrr... Not nice.
Just FYI if you were thinking of going that direction.
