Desperate help needed choosing Sub & Amp

So, I want only 1 10" sub with a nice clean amp. I don't want something that will just pronounce BASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, you know? I want a CLEAN sub that has both SQ and SPL. I know the 10" JL W6v2 would be my best bet, but its like $235 ... and I've seen some others in mind. There's the following:

Alpine Type R, Alpine Type X, Kicker L7, Infinity Perfect, MB Quart PWE 254, ROCKFORD FOSGATE T110D4 or T110D2, ECLIPSE SW8102DVC, and yeah?

Then for amps, there is the following:

JBL GTO1201.1, KICKER KX600.1, ALPINE MRD-M501 , XTANT 3.1 CLASS D, PPI PRECISION POWER DCX 500.1, XTANT A6001T , Orion XTR PRO 1000 , DIRECTED AUDIO 1100D , Memphis 16-MC500D , Rockford Fosgate 1001BD , ROCKFORD FOSGATE POWER 501BD , Phoenix Gold Octane-R 8.0:1, and yeah?

I dont know waht to do, any help woudl be appreciated!

i guess it all depends on what brand u like and how u want it to sound. my 10w7 was close to 500 bucks but was worth every penny and can out hit alot of 12's. i dont know if that is too much for you though.

im not too familiar with some of the others u posted, maybe go to some audio shops to see what they have and maybe u can listen to some different things.

wires are wires, the only differnce might be in rca cables if there is any at all. I have a 1 12" L7 and i'm satisfied with it.

Your right. Your 10W7 can out hit a LOT (IE group) of 12s.

There aren't many single 12s that stand a chance at all.

well wires are wires, but some are better than others and in rca's quality is key. although for the sup amp the rca's dont have to cost you an arm and a leg..

i dont understand people that spend 800 bucks on a sub and amp and then want to run 10 dollar wires

damn....now I dunno, should I get a 10" JL w6v2, or a 12" JL w6v2??

It's like $40 more for the 12"...but that means it won't be as tight as bass as the 10", and it will be louder....I love the sound of bass from 10's...ahhhhhh

hey would this JL amp work well with a 10" W6v2?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...711787726&rd=1

Its rated 400x1 @ 2 ohms?

also, how would 1 8" w7 sound?

Edit: Nevermind, I just checkd out the 10" W6v2's, and they're rated at Dual 4 ohm ONLY...so that means that amp wouldn't be too great then, eh?
