Dension ICELink installation
Dension ICELink installation
Has anyone tried to install a Dension Icelink adapter?
(It's an auxilliary audio adapter so I can plug in my iPod -- if you've never heard of it - check out the sexy v1.1) I've followed the thread for installing a Blitzsafe adapter for instructions on panel removal and how to get the damn plug in the back of the head unit.
From what I've read in other threads, I thought I'd be able to toggle between the 6-disc in-dash changer and the Icelink by hitting the CD button on my stereo (stock 2001 CL-S). But nothing happens when I hit it (except for selecting the the in dash changer if it's not already selected).
Can someone confirm that my stereo supports this function? Any tips for installation?

Go to ipodlounge.com...there are plenty of guys that have done this, and really nicely too...there is even a 2003 Accord that shows how step by step...probably similar to the CL, and he's got it running through the head unit and steering wheel controls... tucked away in the center console...really nice job but probably extensive...of course i'm a newbie to this.
Thanks for the links.
From looking at the pictures, I figured out that Dension had sent me the wrong aux adapter unit. They sent the one for a Volkswagon, which I noticed when I received it. But I thought the company was competent enough to send the right part and assumed it must be compatible.
But they straightened it out, and were nice enough to give me a free upgrade to the v1.1 unit which is a lot sexier, and has true line-level output.
Hopefully this one will perform as described.
