Well DEI bought Clifford so theoretically they are the same company but the product lines will still remain as they are. I'd buy a Clifford AvantGuard4 because it has 2 window rollup capability built in as well as just about anything else you'd ever want incl. remote start, auto headlights, motion sensor, tilt sensor, 1000ft remotes, etc etc. I think a few people here have the AG4 installed and love it. I have the Clifford IQ8000 because I didn't want the remote start (which i'm now kicking myself for).

But again, Clifford all the way. Great products that are easy to upgrade and rarely ever go bad. Hope that helps...

I worked at a stereo shop so I got mine for practically nothing. They go (retail) around $400 for an IQ8000. The AG4 is a ***** to install and runs (retail - full install) around $1000 - well worth it though. If you want it done right expect to leave your car for a good 1/2 to full working day (maybe more or less depending on how many people work on it at once and quality of install).

I'm kinda leaning towards trading in my 2000TL for a 2002TL-S/Nav and the first thing I will do to it is have an AG4 installed.

Good luck! -Ryan

I was also considering the A4, until I found out the price. Then I almost choked.

I couldn't bring myself to buy DEI's viper. Having used a clifford before, I ended up with a clifford again this time. Sweet stuff. After people told me that I shouldn't worry too much about warranty issues since after all, clifford is now under DEI, I figured i'd return for another clifford.
Ended up with an IG7000 with additions.
came up to $500 in total. If you search back in this forum, u'd see this long post that I did based on the same topic. me and bdimc went on a long discussion about it.
