Component Speakers!!!!!!!
Wasssup Hey i was wondering if this is a good i dea To go with
4 component speakers on each door? From what i hear it makes sence just to go with 2 components in the frount doors and
just 2 midrange woofers in the back! no tweeters. My thinking with 4 tweeters wont it sound better? Can any of u guys give me ur opinoin Thanks Danny!

well.. as always, good sound is subjective. if it sounds good for you, go for it.
I personally go for sound quality over volume and the readings that I've done and I feel that make sense recommend that the back door speakers are just used for ambient sound or not used at all.
in a sound quality situation: imagine you're trying to emulate a concert hall. you want everything you hear to come from in front of you. this is 'imaging' If you have speakers behind you, you are distorting this image. In a concert hall, the only sounds coming from behind you are the reverberations of the original source. Worse of all, which I was stuck with for a while, is if you have speakers in the back that are 'louder' (more sensitive) than your front speakers. You end up with a soundstage coming from behind you and it sounds like you're sitting with your back towards the stage.
in my car, not only did I put normal coaxials in the back, I faded them in favor of the front components. I almost didn't even put any speakers in the back but I realized maybe back passengers 'should' have the privilege of at least hearing something closer to them than speakers all the way to the front.
I suppose I 'could' have had an extra set of components. but its full potential wouldn't even be used. I'm just tryin to save money, see? thats really the main idea here.
however, if you just plain want things loud and clear and money is no object, I don't see why you can't hook up an extra set of components in the back so that everyone in the car gets equal treatment
Just make sure that you get components that either match or don't throw off your front set. It'd suck to be in the drivers seat and not have the best sound.
