Code to unlock radio and Cd player

I just bought 97 Acura 2.5TL, It did not come with user manual and after unplugging the battery the radio and CD has stop working.

Any idea on how to get the code?

thanks

The dealership charges that much because they say they have to pull the dash to get to the back of the radio to get the serial number to get the code, thats what I think anyways.

Some people find it in other spots on the car (glove box fuse box other places i think) but some others like me cant find it anywhere. So I'll just get the serial number or whatever myself when I replace some lights in the instrument cluster.

I couldn't stop laghing after i read this thread... Call the dealership...lol...

I think the code you want is the one under the coin tray/cigerette tray... usually its a little white sticker with numers that don't go passed 6 or 8... after you connect the batter back and the radio promps you for the little code... just type it in using the "preset radio channel selector" buttons... "and presto... your dead..." quote fron Childs Play 3...lol... but yea... try looking for the code in your glove or under the coin tray... Good luck...

Thanks to you all,
I took it to the dealeaship again and they were able to trace the car to the previous dealership and get the code for me for FREE....

Another problem, my tape plays but my CD give "CDPEO" error whenever I stick original CD in.
Any ideas or help would be very much appreciated.

thanks in advance
