I was talking to a parts guy at a dealership in Austin yesterday (i was ordering a new blank switch to drill out) and he was saying that some of the shops around town have set a few CL's on fire doing aftermarket radio installs. He said it was something about the navi voice trying to go into the aftermarket wiring and shorting out....etc. Anybody heard of anything like this???

 

never heard such thing, i have personally rewired Bose Systems about 20 times and have personally worked on (7) 3.2 cls & tls with new aftermarket HU and have never heard any complaints from anyone....

ask him what shops and dont go there...
