Cleaning LCD screens

The plastic peel off film that came on my headrest monitors left some kind of residue behind, not to mention fingerprints from installing the monitors.

Any recommended products to clean the screens?

The screens are not your typical old tv glass screen that can easily be wiped off. They kind of have a funny feel to them, not smooth like glass. If you have a big screen tv or flat screen PC monitor, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

I wouldn't use any type of solvents at all !!!

use water and a microfiber cloth. A manufacturer wouldn't use an adhesive that would bond permanently to the LCD screen.

Don't use any solvents!!!!! Use a microfiber rag, like the ones you use on your sunglasses. Solvents will jack up your screen.

according to the owners manual. On the navi screen it says to use eye glass cleaner on it. I would take the route of using a microfiber and some water though

Apple computer company makes a cleaner designed to clean computer screens, iPods, etc., I forget the name of the product, but it works great cleaning anything electronic without static buildup. Also, if you have scratches, there is a product called IceCream or something like that and it actually removes deep scratches and polishes the plastic to a high gloss. PM me if you want the name of the company and phone number and I'll find for you.
