CK3100 (parrot) and Starmate Install
Ok...I just finished this tonight and I wanted to get some pics posted. I have installed the Parrot CK3100 to work with Blackberry 7130 and Moto Razor in 04 TSX. I have also installed the Starmate replay in the "not and ashtray section" If you have any questions about install email me, be happy to help! I would highly recommend the Parrot as a bluetooth alternative, AWESOME! Sorry I can't post install I just don't have that much time, If you would like to now more just post or email. Thanks The install took me all day but it was very simple, just time consuming. In the link you will see three pics including were I mounted MIC

Three questions for you regarding the CK3100:
1. How'd you route the wire to get the mic on your rear view mirror?
2. Did you use the Metra harness to plug it into the stock system? (The harness Crutchfield recommends.)
3. Finally, where'd you purchase it from?
Thanks.

Ck3100
I mounted the MIC above the mirro and ran the wire inside the roof across the drivers side then down the a-frame pillar and back accros into the radio bin. I purchased the Kit from http://www.parrotkits.com/ (they are extremely nice is you need support) I tried using the unit itself but had issues with the volume. Parrot kits makes a harness that is direct plug and play even though it is 140.00 it is worth every penny. It cuts down several hours of work and the MIC and Speaker volume is perfect. That should do it...

Thanks for the reply. So I take it that you added their Honda-Acura Amplified Harness Adapter (QCHBB-HA) to your setup to fix the volume issue?
I've e-mailed that company about my own little challenge regarding adding the CK3100 to my car. My 2005 non-navi has a Dension ice>Link iPod adapter currently plugged into the auxiliary port to run my iPod, and I refuse to give that up. I'm hoping they can offer a solution so that I can have both devices running off the aux port — like a Y-harness.
Anyone have input on that? Perhaps someone with a factory XM-equipped TSX ran into similar issues?
Thanks again.

Umm... sorry, I finally realized that the aux input has nothing to do with the Parrot kit. Please disregard my questions about that part. I'm still curious about the amplified harness adapter though.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I saw your post..yeah it is plug and play into the stereo so no aux. The amplied box is awesome. There is even a volume control on the unit itself so when you test it you can tweak the volume up and down. It does a really nice job of muting the music and bringing the voice upfront when a call comes in also. Make sure when you get the unit you first upgrade the firmware for the best quality.

How do you know if you have the amp in your car? Which models have the amp? This link to the QCHon-1 for non-amplified and the QCHBB-HA for amplified doesn't say which Acuras need what: www.quickconnectproducts.com/donotcut.html

Amp
I called and talked to a tech when I bought it. They go by the wattage of your stereo system. If you have the 360 Watt or above stereo it is amplified. I also believe it is on the side of the door panel with all the VIN information. Can you pull up your info when you bought the car? Either way it will tell you if it is amplied or not.

Yep, I do have the amp and ordered the QCHBB-HA from http://www.parrotkits.com
Glad there is a harness out there that gives us bluetooth retrofit! The car should have had this to begin with but then again they probably would have charged 3 times as much for it as the Parrot and then it wouldn't have worked with my phone. I hear the Parrot 3200 Color is very compatible with most phones.....

Parrot
Yeah, I can tell you it works really nice. If you have any issues let me know. I can tell you this you have the take out the entire head unit and front panel because the connection you need is right behind the Nav or Radio. But it work so nice. Remember before you put everything back test the audio cause you might have t raise the volume to achiev your level

Yes, there are two audio adjusters (Left and Right channel) on the newer version of the QCHBB-HA so I had to turn both of them down a bit to get the cell audio to match the radio level. Now when I get a cell call, the radio mutes and my caller is exactly the same level as my radio had been playing at - very cool. Thanks....

thanks for the pics.
so i have pretty much finished the install of my new parrot mki9100 into my 04 tsx with navi. most importantly, you can install the harness without removing the navi. i've removed my friends tsx non-navi HU and i can say that it is not a fun process. so, on the navi anyway, you can see the harness you need on the back of the HU pretty much right behind the ipod/xm/aux plug which on the 04 has the navi plugged into it. so there is barely enough room to get the old plug out of there and the new harness plugged in. after that, the old harness plugs right into the extra connector on the qchbb harness and then you need to just run the mic and the display wires. this unit also has an ipod/usb/aux plug that i ran into the storage box in between the front seats. this lets you control ipod functions from the supplied steering wheel wireless remote. the display also has a nice menu system and displays track and artist info. a great improvement from the denison icelink that i've had forever.
