Check out the new setup
Thanks to the professionals around here that helped me install this.....my first DIY!
Its a Dual XDVD8180, touch screen, got a nice deal on it, so i thought why not...let me know what you think, i know the dash kit looks terrible but hopefully i can fix that soon, would love any suggestions, oh and it has a nice little aux connect that came with it so i can hook up my ipod, unfortunately the screen does not show the ipod menu options or anything

impressive... the price is comin down...
'bout the metra dash kit, you can sand it down and it matches nearly perfectly to the rest of the plastic.
The old thread didn't make the migration from www.acura-tl.com but the simple instruction is: sand the bumps off with 220grit , work through about 600 grit to smooth it out, then use a little mineral spirits to give it a nice satin finish. No paint requred. Mine looked a little worn after about 9 months of scratching but not bad fo $20?
