Cheap improvements to stock stereo?

I've a '99 TL - and I love the stereo most of the time. Sometimes I rattle the sub, depending on the song. Is there any cheap improvment I can make to the sub? Should I replace it with something else? I don't want to change the Head Unit, or the other speakers.

I was kinda looking for a FAQ on this, but couldn't find any...

add an amp and a sub... just buy a high to low converter... dont have to go all out on it but dont be too cheap just get it for you liking.. i got 2 alpine type r's in the car right now they out did the stock bose mids and highs so i had to put the gain down on it.. but with time you will start spending money to try to get everything to match up... pm me if you got questions ill try to help... just doing what other people did to me.. and got me started..
