1999 TL plays 74-minute (650 Mb) CD-R, but those are tough to impossible to find now. 80-minute (700Mb) ones didn't work. Has anyone had success with a particular brand of 80-min CD-R's?

 

hahah this topic has been beaten to death in the 2nd Generation Forum, but as you may have figured out, the OEM HeadUnit does not particularly like CD-R's. There have been a few people who prefere one brand over another, but it ultimately depends on the HU. I've had good luck with the Memorex Black CD-R's. You can give those a shot if you'd like.
