CD-R won't play in Acura 2000 3.2tl BOSE
I burnt CD-R in my IBM NetVista home computer and the CD won't play in my 2000 Acura 3.2tl. The head unit is BOSE.
I contacted the Acura dealer and they asked me to call Bose tech sup.
I called Bose 2 different times:
First guy told me to use Memorex CD-R. I went to the Staples and bought Memorex. It won't play in my 2000 Acura TL.
2nd guy told me to burn the CD using CDA (CD Audio format). I converted my songs from MP3 to CDA using Nero and no luck.
I tried Maxell Gold CD-R and recorded at 4X spd and no luck.
I think it's the Bose CD player that they use which is a piece of junk.

I've had my radio replaced twice and it's not the headunit that's the problem. It is the design of it... After five years, I finally found CDR's that played PERFECT. I went out and bought 150 of them and I will not burn anything else than music for MY CAR on them.
They are FUJIFILM CDR All Purpose CD's
They come in a royal blue package and DO NOT HAVE A SPEED RATING ON THEM. If you get the one's with the speed rating on them, I found out that they do not play. The only ones that play are the ALL PURPOSE CDR's without the speed rating.
I got them at best buy. Trust me, they will work perfectly with no delay on all tracks.
Go run and buy them!

Sony CD-R Audio Cds are the only ones that work in my car ('00 TL). Have tried a bunch of others (not the Fujifilm though) and non of them worked. Sony Audio always works for me. Also, slow down the burn speed!

will the 4 year, 50000 miles warranty tranfer to a different dealer? My car was purchased out of state and there are 2 local dealers that I would rather deal with. Anyone know if the local dealer will play ball on warranty issues?

I have the same problem!
Hey guys, I've been killing myself with the same freaking headache and I thank god there's others that have the same problem. And my results were that all 3 factors play a role to the infamous CD-R problem we have. That being the headunit, the type of cd-r you're burning and possibly even the speed and burning program you are using. With my investigation I found that there are only 3 major CD-R manufacturers in the world. Everybody else just slaps their name on it and resells it. Unfortunately, Bose was actually very slow on making a head-unit that understands all types of CD-Rs... Therefore the Bose radio only understands the 1st generation of CD-R's manufactured. So your better buying a CD-R that has a regular silver dye on the bottom (Mitsui, FUJIFilm etc... Do not purchase CD-R that have a Blue dye on the bottom.. (Those are later generation manufacturers and new patented dyes that are poor Acura does not understand)... Secondly, burn at a lower speed and try using Roxio CD Creater.
