CD player won't play iTunes burned CDs

I have burned a couple of CDs from iTunes and my 02 CD player won't play them. Finally, on one CD I was able to get the player to play from the 6th track on, but that's it. Anybody have any ideas on what to do. Record at slower speed, use different format?

burn it with different software, if it still doesnt work (if under warranty) have the dealer replace the headunit. the TL headunit is notorious for not playing burned cd's

i use memorex cdr's and burn itunes with no problems. You have no choice but to burn with iTunes software since they are a propietary format and not actual MP3's.

The '02 headunit shouldn't have the typical cd-r issues, its probably related to iTunes. I thought iTunes gave you mp3s, didn't realize they gave you the tunes in a proprietary format - what were you thinking? Never pay for files with DRM, you'll get the shaft in the long run.

I have used iTunes with generic (read "cheap") CD-R's. No problems.

You get iTunes thier m4p format, but you have to use iTunes to burn to cda format. You can then rip the burned cd and get mp3's from it. Bottom line i have '03 TLS no problems playing iTunes burned m4p cds.
