I've never had troubles. When I use burnt cds i don't put labels on them. I've heard that cds with labels can cause troubles.

Seems to be indiscriminate re: burnt or factory cd's. Never use burnt cd's with lables, but dealer claimed that burnt cd's could be problem anyway. Couldn't get explanation as to how that could be...

hmmmm....

think of your in dash changer as an old 80'S computer, give it a command and WAIT. if you push another button before the first is complete then it jams.

Mine has always had the problem where it would n't eject the CD, but it would occur mostly after the car had been running for a while. I was always able to get the CD out by putting the edge of another CD on top of the wedged one and pressing down slightly. Finally the CD player broke altogether and refused to eject anything at all - the thin 'door' doesn't even open anymore and I get an 'ERR 1' or some such message.

I took it to the dealer and they confirmed that it needs to be replaced. Now I'm just waiting for them to get a new one in...

I'm having major problem with cd player, I had factory and burnt cds inside of it. I took my car to dealership and they told me they have to replace it.

I went in to replace the cd player this morning, and guess what, the second one broke after driving 2 miles off from dealership. Tomorrow I'll be going there again to try the 3rd one, I hope this player won't break. To me it sounds somewhat like our trans.

No problems with original CD's or CD-R's (w/o labels) for over 2 years.

I have the same problems w/ my car (w/ orginal CD or CD-R w/o labels). The only way to get that error message off is to shut down the car. After awhile, my cd player doesn't eject anymore even after i shut down my car!

my cd player still hasn't given me any problems. Burned cd's or purchased cd's, it doesn't seem to care.

Ok, I'm on my 3rd player and the car is just a year old.
The first one jammed with one factory CD in it the day of delivery. Took 6 weeks before a replacement could be found.
The second one would not eject after about 2 months.
The third one is still in although it wouldn't eject a CD the other day. Enough of the CD was showing that I was able to coax it out.
These are all with factory CD's.
As far as I'm concerned these units, made by Pioneer, are really flimsy.

I've noticed with mine that you can't use burned cd's with labels.. since the opening to the player is so thin, it gets jammed.. I've spent one too many times using a tweezer to get the CD out.. so I just write with a marker on my cd's now.. also.. with regular store bought cd's.. when you eject it, it gets stuck.. but.. when you smack the side of the cd player, it magically pops out.. guess you got to give it a little "nudge" to help it along. Guess nothing is perfect. I guess Acura/Honda & Bose need to come out with a thicker cd slot!

It has nothing to do with Bose. The units are made by Pioneer.
