Question Can after-market alarms cause problems?

I'm planning to get a Clifford Avant-Garde 4 for my new TLS. It's good, but it's complex. Has anyone who had an after-market alarm installed had any problems as a result? I don't mean a bad install, but rather a problem like incompatibility of the alarm with Acura circuitry? Can an after-market alarm void any aspect of the Acura warranty?

good choice in car and alarm...i too run athe Avant Guard 4 and no problems yet, except a little fog light malfunction which fried my Alarm brain but they gave me a whole new alarm when that happened...other than that it's been cherry...make sure that the place installing the alarm is a good reputable place that has done dozens of Cliffords...

Thumbs up

Thanks. The shop doing the install has a good reputation. They're telling me it's an all-day job, though so it'll be expensive. But it does give me true peace of mind knowing the Avant Guard 4 will be on duty watching over my baby.
