You don't want your peek around that freq unless you ahve other subs tuned above that.
Good spot is 45-50. WHat is the wattage you are running into it? If it's a lot of power (near the peak power handling), go sealed @ 1.0cuft. You can actually build it as big as 2.0 cuft, without much audible difference. It will be a bit softer at the peak tuned freq, but is smoother across the slope then a smaller box.
If you just want loud, you can build a vented box. It's more difficult to calculate and screw up, but the curvers are heavy!
