BOX BUilding Help

Hey guys, I'm lookign to build a box for my 12L72. I want to to be tunned to approx 25-35 hz. does anyone know how to do this?

You don't want your peek around that freq unless you ahve other subs tuned above that.

Good spot is 45-50. WHat is the wattage you are running into it? If it's a lot of power (near the peak power handling), go sealed @ 1.0cuft. You can actually build it as big as 2.0 cuft, without much audible difference. It will be a bit softer at the peak tuned freq, but is smoother across the slope then a smaller box.

If you just want loud, you can build a vented box. It's more difficult to calculate and screw up, but the curvers are heavy!

I will be using 2 8" midbass drivers, so taht is why I plan on running this sub at that hz.

I'm running 750 watts to it.

If you haven't built a box before, I wouldn't recommend building a vented enclosure. It is way too easy to be a little off and have the box sound like ass.
