Bose subwoofer

I wanted to get more bass without getting a new sub since I want to keep my trunkspace. Will replacing the oem 100 watt amp do the trick? And how much wattage should I get and which 2 channel amp would you recommend? I don't want to blow the bose sub. Someone mention no more than 150 watt and turning the gain 20%

Nope that wouldn't do jack...that Bose sub is as loud as it's going to get. You could put 2 JL 8w3's in your trunk with a small aftermarket amp...and probably take up almost no room at all...you'd hardly notice and it'd give you some good bass response...in a ported box that ported up through the rear deck.

Get yourself a 12' Kicker solo baric L7 sub in a sealed box, and throw a nice amp on that. It will take up no room and it will hit harder than most 12's paired up. Im gonna get 2 L7's in sperate boxes and let the knock.

Do a search on the things I've posted about Kicker Solobaric L7's...do NOT buy them. But to sum it up:
-doesn't hit harder than comparable subs
-bad quality issues
-bad sound reproduction (the fact that it's square comes with a cost...the cost being that's in no way how sound waves travel so you have weird wave patterns etc...and it sounds bad)
