Bose sound system problems with sub?
Hey i was looking at the bose website and found this:
c. Can I add a subwoofer?
No. As noted above, each Bose automotive sound system is completely integrated, with the elements custom-engineered to work together as a whole. If you add a subwoofer to the system, its output is unlikely to be proportionate with that of speakers already in place. In most cases, adding a subwoofer will detract from—not enhance—the sound quality.
If anyone has put subs in a 3.2 cl type s and the quality was greatly affected let me know. I was on the verge of ordering an ID MAX v.3 12 inch with a jbl 1200.1 amp, but if the above is true, I doubt I will be getting it. Any information on the subject would be helpful. Thanks.

That is most likely just B.S. from Bose. They are trying to make it sound like their speakers are the best in the world and if you dare to add an "inferior" aftermarket subwoofer (even though IDMAX is awesome) it would detract from the sound Bose "engineered."
I say go for it. Lots of people have done the same thing.
