Blitzsafe Trouble

i recieved my blitzsafe awhile ago but didn't install it b/c i would not have anything to hook it up with. but today i got a hold on my bro's mp3 cd player. so i went to radio shack to buy the y cable(6 inches - $3). burned myself an mp3 cd and hooked it up to the blitzsafe. i waited to hear my jams, but i forgot to press the play button... but when i looked - the cd player was already playing... i can't hear anything. i turned both volumes, (the car & the cd player) all the way up. i could faintly hear the song. it was like whispering even though i had both volumes to the max.

i mp3 cd player works. the mp3 player works. i took a reg. cd, and played it on both the HU and mp3 player (listened to it w/ headphones). the only thing i can see could be wrong/messed up is the blitzsafe..?

man, everyone knows that feeling when you get something you want to do and turns out it doesn't work.. man, what a feeling.!!!!!!! i was so excited to listen to my jams..

There was a shipment of Blitzsafes that were sent out bad. I read a thread on it somewhere. So I bet you got one of the bad blitzsafes.

So the HU allows you to select the AUX input, but with almost no volume?

WHat year is the TSX? 04 or 05?

I had this problem with my sirius reciever...i only got faint volume with the head unit all the way up and the unit's volume all the way up. I got a new receiver and it fixed the problem. But like you said the mp3 player worked with headphones etc... so its a little confusing here. Maybe the wire is bad afterall.

to clarify everything, i made sure everything is working by using a reg. cd and playing it in the HU and the mp3 player...... both volume are coming out right. it is when i hook up the mp3 player to the HU w/ the blitzsafe that is doesn't work - well, very low volume comes out. i acutally bought this off an acurazine member. i just emailed him to varify if it was working when he had it. and when i rechecked his FS post and our PMs both stated that it works.... so whats up??

It's not a Y cable, it's an RCA/mini stereo adapter (Y cable is something else).

Just bad luck, really. Not a reason to always buy $20 adapters. But glad you fixed it...
