Hi guys,

I've updated my navigation system, the update was right for 1 month but the system was slow, then the unit didn't turn on (or turn on after a very long time like 20 minutes) so I went to Honda(I've got an Accord) and they told me that the DVD player was broken (the lens I think) and they asked me 3000 € (3700$) so I go to an Alpine friend and he changed the lens...

Now the navi work but when it turn on it starts to upload the old disk but freeze immediatly (like 2 % ).

I'm asking if someone find out this problem and if there is a way to reset the whole unit (I want to pass to an older software version)

i take it your able to eject the discs, not sure if it would help but i had a similar problem, only difference was my dvd unit didnt eject so i opened it up and watch it move around. i notice it freezes casue its either not fully seated or its scuffing the top part of the disc. how i fixed mine, i just poked it with my finger here and there and then walla it starts up fine and ejects. good luck

I'm able to eject the disc, the dvd player now works fine but the navi unit doen't work because I've inserted firts the new version and then the old version, when I notice that the uploading bur was stopped I tried to put the new disc but nothing... Always freezed...
