Best way to dynamat doors

From looking at a lot of pics, most dynamat their car's doors on the inner side (side that is closest to the plastic panel cover). I know a few people dynamated the door skin (right next to the glass)..however is very though to reach in there.

Which is a better method to dynamat? What is more effective in term of sound deadening?

I have not done my TL as of yet. I did my MDX and I put damping on both inner and outer panels. I think the more the better. If you can reach both panels then, do both. Anything will help so, the more you can get to, the better.

I dampened the outer skin thinking you need to reduce/dampen the rear wave from the speaker but doing both skins would be the best. Even though its and IB, I think more importantly would be to have an air tight seal between your speaker/baffle and baffle/door panel using weatherstrip and some silicon around the edge.

Sweet! Thanks. I'll try to do both (if I can reach the inner skin through those tiny holes). My dynamat stuffs should be here at the end of the week. I'll take pics
