JL Audio, Kicker, and Boston Acoustic are a few that come to mind. IMO these are great subs....
The best sub is something that is subjective. What you think is best and what I think is best might be completly different.
My advice to you is to set up a price range that you can afford and go listen to some in various setup's aka sealed box, ported box, bandpass enclosure.

And it hits hard for a single 10". It won't shake the neighbor's wall when you drive by but there is more than enough sound for inside the car and 20' around it. Sounds good with all kinds of music from Tupac to Sevendust.

I have a PG ZX475 amp powering the Infinity door spkrs also. Did all the installation and wiring myself.
