I bought a Jl audio 13W7 sub and my friend was saying an Mtx Thunder 9500 (12" or 15" sub) either one would hit harder than my sub, what do you guys think?

someone told me the 13w7 isnt that great worth the money but the JL should own the shit out of the MTX. You tell your buddy that the 12w7 would own his 15'' MTX.

here is the link mtx page which says that it is better... but if you gotta say how much better your product is than someone else's then, usually the best product is benchmarked for a reason

plus mtx speakers sound really rough and boomy to me, the jl's are much tighter and more musical
from my perspective at least... but the w7 will own

Ya thats what i mean, if you just want ridiculously loud shitty boom then ya the MTX but if you want the quality music you have to go witht he JL products, they are way up there

Just tell him you want to do a 5 min full volume loudness test. When his MTX craps out, you will def win.

mtx will hit harder. they are just made to bang. jl will hit very hard and sound perfect.
