hey guys i'm just wondering if u could help me out here
my options are to install either a 1jl 10w6v2 or 2 w3v3-4
and run it with my exile 600.1 amp
question would be what would give me the best sound quality?i usually listen to house and rnb...
the set up im thinking would be similar to this one...

why does it have to be JL? have you looked at other companies that can give you more for the money? nothing wrong with JL they just seem a tad high....look in DC audio...or sundown....hell even FI?? just a thought.

^ Thats a nice setup.

You should be fine with 1 JL 10w6 and that amp.

If going with the two subs you mention, i would get a stronger amp. Dont want to under power anything.

Alot of people talk junk about the JL brand.

I like them also.

 

that would when either what you go that is the perfect amount of power for the subs you mentioned. the power rating on that amp goes perfect with the r.m.s or recommended music source of those subs. but as for ad best sound quality I would do the one w6 in on if those boxes with some Polly-Fill (you can purchase at Walmart or best buy).

Put a w6 in the "right" enclosure for your vehicle and it'll shine.

i myself have one alpine type r 12" dual 4ohm sub powered by a 500/1v1 amp in a similar corner custom made sub enclosure with Polly-fill and it sounds amazing. Im only going to change it because I'm doing another custom enclosure for two 12W7 but that's another trend lol. In all go with one 12W6 it will sound great on that amp perfect match. Good luck with whatever setup you go with ultimately it is your decision.

If your on a budget and still want that power check out POWERBASS

 

in my experience more subs at lower power each vs less sub at more power each will have a better sound quality. i've only had 1 jl sub and it was the 13w7.. it was amazing while it worked, broke the bank when it didn't. scarred for life on jl products and will never own any others. it's the proprietary ohm loads and stuff that gets on my nerves, 1.5 ohm voice coils? what the h*** is that?

anyway.. if it were me i'd choose a different brand, if those were my two choices i'd go two w3's
