The ones that know what they're talking about will tell you that your question is a hard one to answer. They'll tell you that you have to shop around and listen on your own to see what you like. Some have better "highs" and others have better "low" sound.

I've personally heard good things about Focal lately, but I'm not sure if you can complete your setup with those for $200.

Focal is great, but it does have pretty intense highs. And yes, you are not going to get front and rear for $200, the lowest components are like $300, the lowest co-ax's are about $150 if you can find them on sale.

Here are some that have had good reviews, but even this list, people will say no way.

Morel
CDT
Rainbow
Some Infinity Lines
Focal
Some Alpine Lines
Boston Acoustics

I've had Bostons, Focals and Infinitys. I like my Focals the best, but my Bostons did have better mid bass.

But yes, 100 people can give you 100 different ideas, but the only way is to go to a store and listen to what you like.

Ok guys. So what's the best computer for 1000 bucks?

Just like this question its not that simple. You have to specify what kind of music you listen to, active or passive, what kind of amp, etc...

there's 2 ways to do your car's audio system: the easy/expensive way which is basically just going to a decent car audio place, telling them your budget and let them tell you what to do. Or the hard/cheaper way which is where you figure out what's best for yourself based off research and learning. Then find the right deal, plan your full system, buy install and be happy.

Asking people to just tell you what to buy is just as bad as Joe Cool walking into bestbuy and having them set him up...

I went from Infinity Kappas to Image Dynamics and it's a world of difference. I'll go days sometimes without my subs on, these have more bass than any 6.5" I've listened to. The highs are detailed and the silk dome tweeters aren't harsh. $180 for the front component set.

I like MB Quart. Here's the cheapest price I've found for these components.
