Question Bazooka Sub

I just got my TSX in and the first thing I found a problem with was the punch given by the Bose system. I love the bose system the way it is but wanted to add some kick to the bass. My friend recommends a bazooka amplified tube with a 8in JL sub.

Now I don't really know much about subs, especially in my new TSX, so I just wanted to know if this will produce a rattle, or if there's anything better out there.

Pros out there, I need your help!

You can get rattles with any sub it just depends on how loud it is. Nothing a little dynamat can't cure. Yes there are better subs out there but if you just want to augment the bass it should be fine. If you want the block-rocking bass then you'll want to look elsewhere.

Why do you think the system is from Bose ? All the speakers I have seen so far have been from Pioneer, and I think the HU is a Panasonic ?

I just added a sub and amp and got much better bass response, and I cant hear any rattling. Its a well made car, but if I do hear rattles I will break out the dynamat.

i doubt that an 8 inch sub will really make any noticeable difference. i would save some money and would get at the very least a 10 inch subwoofer and a decent amp.

It's not a Bose system. And it sucks. Can't believe anyone actually likes these speakers. I have Alpines in front and stock in the back. Front audio is like being in a concert hall (more or less). Rear audio is like being under 6 feet of water and dirt. Can't wait to replace them with some nice speakers with really good mids (lacking in the Alpine Type R, IMO).
