Well, I took my Eclipse out tonight and put the stock head unit back in. At least it will play the rear speakers. Why you ask. I just bought a new head unit. So once again, the ever changing system will change. I bought another Eclipse, the AV-8022. It is an indash with built in DVD player. I am hoping it gets here tomorrow, Friday at the latest. I finally decided to just get permanent DVD in both vehicles instead of dragging the PS/2 in and out. Besides, I like playing Tiger Woods on my home theater. Will post updates soon.

 

that headunit is nice.. why not get one of the new touch screen eclipse.. but i don not think you will be disappointed at all with the av-8022...

 

I got my AV8022 today and got it put in this evening. It is awesome. I already love it. Just in the little I have played with it, it may be better than my Alpine. I am going to try and get some pics up of everything pretty soon. I just realized that my www link at the bottom is pretty old. I do not think I have anything on those pages. Shawhite...just missed your post. I am actually already thinking about getting rid of the Alpine setup in the CRV and going with one of the new touch screens. I just really like the Eclipse stuff.

 

you can not beat eclipse... great sq and craftsmanship... i love eclipse but i just cant pay the price they want for it when i can get alpine for 1/2 price...

 

You are correct on head units but, when it comes to multimedia, Eclipse is actually less for all in one units. I actually bought my AV-8022 used for only $725 shipped. It is in perfect condition. I love the 8 volt preouts although I need to do some tweaking of my gains.
