avelectronics vs vsokolov navi dvd converter

hey everyone,

I'm wondering if everyone can post their experiences with either avelectronics navi conversion or vsokolov's navi conversion. Avelectronics is quite a bit of money (~550) while vsokolov's is cheap.. so far what i've seen is

avelectronics
+ has switch for on/off
+ has a remote for multiple video
+ support audio in/out (assuming you have snhond 3 running)
+ no wire splicing
+ expensive (~550)

vsokolov
+ has switch for on/off
+ one video input
+ has no uadio support
+ requires audio splicing
+ cheaper (~250)

Personally.. I'm leaning towards avelectronics even though i have to eat the price.. Feedback anyone?

if you just want to hook up a single video source and are comfortable with splicing wires, i'd go with vsokolov's because it's cheaper. that's what i use it for and it works fine. I ran rca cables into the arm rest storage so I can hook up any video/audio source from there. although this unit doesn't have a remote, i mounted the switch in the "not an ashtray" compartment so it's within easy reach -- plus it's hidden when the cover is closed.

if you need to have more than one video input (ps2, dvd, backup camera, etc) you'll have to go with the avelectronics one.

You can also use a video switch (Radio Shack for about $40) with vsokolov's but you'll have to place it somewhere in the car.
