Hey guys,
I have Acura RDX 2010 and having problem playing MP3 files using the AUX USB input. It is saying on the website: "The USB connection can play a music flash drive or any self-powered USB hard drive. The audio system controls all audio functions" But when I connect my Patriot 8GB flash HD it gives me the "Unrecognized Formatt" error. Does anyone had this problem? Is it just bad flash HD to use? All files on the flash cards are MP3 so that should not be a problem.

is it in FAT 32 format ?
what is the hierarchy file level of the files on the HD . (ARE THE files in a folder)

To say true, I'm not sure about the format, got to check it when got home today, is it should be FAT32 to work?

Regarding hierarchy of the file level, I tried it both ways, first time just files without a folder, second time files in the folder, did not work both ways.

 

def sounds like a format issue, my guess it's NTFS and needs to be FAT

 

Thanks 97BlackAckCL, I will check it today reformat it if it is NTFS and let you know if it will fix the problem.
