I have a viper remote start on mine....I have no problems. Just make sure you use an experienced shop, and a trusting installer

gmfreed, how do you start your car with the 6mt? I'm assuming you have to leave it in neutral all the time.

How much did the unit cost? how much was the install?

With hot summers here it would be nice to have the A/C on before I get in.

I personally like the CompuStar FM 2way alarm the best. The range is very good, it can recieve when I'm in a penthouse (25th floor) where my car is parked in P2. The 2 way really help when the alarm goes off, where as my pager goes off in matter of seconds. Although now a days everyone is an alarm only for keyless entry & auto start for warming the car in winter & cooling the car in summer. Great toy to have !!!

I have the Viper 791...that has the two way pager remote also. Yes, I always keep my car in neutral. It is just something you have to remember. But I love it

ya

I have a 2 way remoate + remote start security system from Clifford... it works great!!! One time, I left my head light on and forgot to turn it off... then You know TSX has the auto turn off feature... Then in the night.. I didn't know that... so I used the remote start... then the car started itself... it scared 2 people on the side walk... well I didn't mean to scare them... but it seems quite cool car starts itself...

... try this!

I done mine in "Magnolia Hi-Fi"... I have a Auto, BUT! my friend asked me to ask about it... they told me that... it will cost you extra to bypass the security feature- press down the clutch for starting... But weird thing is that... Car Toys and most of Mech shop won't install that on a Manuel for safety issue... so maybe if you have the shop I mentioned... go ask... and I have a 2 way clifford!

It is actually against the law.....atleast in my state.....to put an auto start on a manual transmission. I did mine myself. You can have them on a manual car "for show purpose only" but a shop can get in alot of trouble installing it.
