austin not mod anymore?
It was a decision Tim made...I'm not going to paste the conversation without Tim's agreement or anything...so that's really all I'm going to say about it right now.
Don't worry...my not being mod just means I can't ban idiots or advertisers on the forum...it doesn't mean I'll stop giving advice.

well... glad you are still around. You are very knowledgeable and it would suck donkey b*lls if you stopped. (now that i have your attention, why does my passenger rear speaker crackle every once in awhile even when the volume is down? They are JL Audio XR's, i forget which ones, but they're the good coaxials)

Some things happened with him and Tim. It sucks he is not mod, I believed he deserved it, that is why I brought him in. I can't change the fact that he isn't a mod anymore, but hopefully he will stick around and help out with questions.

Still working on that MEEE, got the classes finished... just have to do that pesky thesis... If only I had an idea for a topic...

Crackling can be caused by a lot of things...what is your setup like? Because USUALLY that crackling sound is when you have partially blown one of your amp channels, or if you have a faulty connection. If it just crackles randomly I would say it's the amp's fault...but if it crackles when bass hits, or when you go over a bump I would say it's faulty wiring. Check the wiring first...then try hooking another speaker up with new wiring. If this doesn't solve the problem, then it's the amp's fault.

I'll definitely be here...there's no change in how much I'll answer Q's.

Nah man you don't owe me anything! Only if I have a Q you know the answer to, I'd just appreciate a response...nothing more

i let this audio place do the install, but their service after taking a lot of cash from me hasn't been the best. This is probably because the damn thing knows not to act up when the right people are in the car. But everytime my girl and i are driving, i hear her hear it and so does she. It is very random, but i hear it almost every day.
