Audio Install Complete! [TSX]

Hey guys, I finally finished my audio install today! My hands are beat, I have cuts left and right. Worked on it for about 6 hours on Saturday and another 4 today. For anyone looking to upgrade their system, make sure to get the civic amp bypass harness, it will make things MUCH EASIER!!! I regret not getting it!

Here is the equipment I used. I also installed dynamat on the license plate and all doors.

JL Audio 300/4
JL Audio 500/1
JL Audio 10W6v2

Infinity Kappa 60.7cs Components (Front)
Infinity Kappa 63.7i 3-way Speakers (Rear)

Mercman Harness

Here are some pictures. The only thing I'm missing now is a custom sub enclose by uncald4. I'll pick one up in a few weeks.

Indeed. Great choice of audio gear. Very simple setup. I dig it!

My only criticism is that you need to contain those wild 4 gauge worms. You can route your power and ground down behind and under your back seat. If you pull the bottom cushion out you'll have plenty of room.

LOL! I like how some of my original post was magically outlined with bold. I do need to clean it up a bit, I'm grabbing ground from the top deck, where the 6x9s were located. I think I'll move the ground to that screw that holds the back cushion in place.

I told you! hahaha, jk. Home Depot carries "trunk liner" carpet, its really thin. They didn't have one to match my original trunk liner color so I just grabbed the darker one. Audio shops also carry it but they mark up the price by like 300%. Just wrap the carpet around the wood and use 3M adhesive spray and a heavy duty staple gun to keep it in place.

Home Depot carries trunk liner? What department is that in? I'm not being silly.... I have a Home Depot right down the street and it might help in a pinch. There have been times when I'm in the middle of an install and have to drive 20 miles because I'm a few inches short on carpet.

Its in the carpet department. You'll see it on display, next to astroturf (fake grass).

Awesome.
I'll start on the carpeting project in two weeks. This weekend is Cambodian New Years.

Nice work by the way. How come you didn't build a box for it?

I wanted to but don't really have the tools. I have a saw to make big cuts but nothing to cut squares around the amps.

Got any pics of the rest of the installation?

I would clean up the wiring and mount the amps vertically, but looking good!
