audio help please!

HELP!! [01 TL] I got a new deck but how do i take my old one out? ne tips on where to start? what do i need?

You need to go down to the local stereo shop and pay them to do it. They will have the tools and know-how to do the job properly without damaging your car.

If you're lucky... Local shops here do nothing but screw up people's cars... There's only a few I would let even look at my car, let alone work on it, and those are ones where I've met the installers and have seen their own personal cars that they've worked on...

Around here those shops are rather obvious. The price is always way too low and nobody speaks English very well. They generally look like an in-door swap meet than a real shop. Stay away from those shops and you should be fine.

I'm a certified installer so I'd do it myself too. However that is irrelevant here since it is the OP's abilities that are in question.

I understand that much, but there are like 5-6 shops around here, and like I said, I've met the installers for 1, and they're the only ones I'd even think about trusting. They look shady as hell, but do quality work. There are other shops that look good, but do shady work. Looks can be very deceiving...

yea i need to do it my self cause im low on funds. done a few installs but this is my first import.dont know where to start.
