Audio Gurus...help please

I know nothing about audio
I have $1 grand to spend and I drive a 99 TL
I mostly listen to rap music
Don't want a sub box in my trunk

What would be the best setup? Please I have no idea what brands are good...I will be installing myself though...nice learning process

Blame it on Smitty.

"They should have never gave you niggas smiley's!"

which one?
Man what kind of country is this that a black man can't say nigga, shit I say it everyday and people still help me

Thanks for the help but I don't know what the best speakers would be? I was thinking of getting some Polk Audio MMC6500 components in the front but I am not sure what to put in the back...and if I get components in the front do I need a special Amp to power the components? Are there any speakers good enough to not need a sub?

spend most of your money on the front speakers. get some nice componets. brands like focal, rainbow,mb quart etc. don't worry about the back since they are just basically "filler" speakers. you can just get some decent 2 ways or 3 ways. you should power your fronts with a nice amp for some clean sound. you won't get chest pounding bass without a sub but it will sound better than what you have now. do you have the stock head unit? check out caraudio.com for some reviews and the ppl on the board over there know their shit. hope this helps.
