Inline filter

Inline filter

I've been reading up on the Navi-DVD install. One part I dont understand is the inline filter. Where does it do and why do u use them? Thanks for the help guys!

Its a little can with 3 wires. 1 for ground. 1 for 12v power from the battery in to it. And 1 for the filtered 12v power going out.

We use them since the video signal is sensative and any noise will show visually on the monitor as wavey lines. The filter eliminates the noise.

mine is located down under/behind the "not an ashtray" I got it from Radio Shack. I've seen'em at Walmart and Schucks/ Autozone/ auto parts stores by the car stereo stuff.
