audio cap
i recently got a cap installed.
i think it is not functioning correctly, it started out working great.
but after about a week, the subwoofers werent so strong anymore,
it is pretty old (the cap). I took it out from my brothers old system, it had
alot of use then was stored away in a shed for about 5-6 years.
you guys know of any good ones that I could get , possibly cheap around 50-100 bills.

OK, thats like saying a speaker is a speaker...all by the same company??? I know there isnt much to a capacitor, but companies do have better reps than others.

CAP Problems
This would solve any problems...also the batcaps are great instead of big heavy batterys. This is a very reputalble company in the pro industry.
http://www.batcap.net/MegaCap.htm
Kinda pricey though.

Ive seen this site before, where do you install that thing?
I dont really understand is it between the alternator and the battery or
is it after the battery. This brings me to another question.
What in the world is a Voltage Stabilizer i saw one on ebay, it looks like a power
converter that you hook up to your cig lighter to use household-like appliances,
but it says you hook it up to your charging system.
- If i get a new alt+batt, I will be rewiring the whole elec. system to a higher gauge
wire, this will be expensive, and will probably end up in me getting rid of my
box and speakers and JL 500/1 amp to get 2 10'' w7 with a JL 1000/1 and maybe
another set of coax speakers custom-mounted.

I have 2 10W7's each powered by a 500/1...front and rear components powered by a 300/4...and a center-channel speaker powered by a dinky JL Audio e series 120 watt amp.
I also rewired everything, have 2 caps, upgraded alternator, and a new optima yellow top...and I still have issues with dimming lights at higher volume settings.
Yeah, the first optima died on me after I completely killed it within 10 months...and I don't even really listen to rap or hip hop. Just watch a few scenes of the occasional movie and mostly listen to opera/classical music.
Lucky for optima's warranty I got a free replacement.
