Anyone still selling the AV-RGB1s?

Hey guys!

Just wondering if there's anywhere I can find those AV-RGB1s...StreetEffectz?

Or is there any similar, or better, alternative?

Thanks!

read my sig, The GEX can be used instead, but you would have to get the extra monitor.

Huh. That product looks really interesting.. There isn't much information about it, but I did find the Pioneer information about it http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pi...29,342,00.html. Do you have any information on how to hook this up with the navigation system?

you still need to do some soldering, the unit will not display the text setup menu on the navi screen until you hook itup to an external monitor (AVD). once that set its like all in one, you can change from navi-tuner-dvd-etc. with the remote.

But caution there must be some soldering work done a little more than the RGB-1 Decoder.

Is this additional monitor permanent?

Thanks!

You can mounted anywhere, I have it sitting in the compartment in the back seet with a long cable. people sit in the back can watch what ever is on the navi screen. (they just have to hold it) Im planning on mounting it there somehow.

I only paid $250 for that monitor off ebay.

The entire system is well worth it for me than getting the RGB-1.

you end up almost paying the same price for them.

question : I already have a pioneer monitor in the front and in the back and am running all pioneer for my multimedia -- how does this affect me? I still want the TV portion of the unit but not the FM modulator.... I would love to be able to see the navi in the back and also be able to switch inputs on the front - please explain

what do you mean running all pioneer for multimedia, what units to you have ?

So, you have the system running independent from the navi system ?

The FM modulator is built in the GEX, and you dont have to use it. Here is more info on the GEX unit: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pi...29,342,00.html

Thats good to hear. Can you tell me what I would be able to see on the external display and also on the navi display when I get this installed?

do you have the navi mod done already, what do you see on your screens now?

if you dont have the navi mod done, you can modify the gex to take in the navi signal. and what happens is using the remote for the gex you can switch from navi-tuner-etc...

Well, I have the avc-rgb1 all soldered up and ready to go but I have not installed it YET. I do have the avx-p7000cd installed though and I see whatever I want on it, DVD, radio tuner OSD, cd tuner OSD, etc. And, since no mod is done to the GPS yet I see only the NAVI on it. When you say that I can choose what I see with the GEX remote, are you talking about for the front GPS display or the rear display?

both, you dont need the rgb1 if you get the gex, but then you can combine them, to do the same. gex is just a little bit harder to modify than the rgb1.

I noticed the GEX has and NTSC video out. Do you have to do the GEX setup screens on an RGB display or can you plug it into any NTSC video input and do the setup?

I would guess that all the OSD stuff is over the RGB connection -- this is why everyone is saying you need a pioneer lcd with it
