I looked at it on the site. It doesn't look like it comes with a monitor. Is it just the DVD player you are selling?
Do you have any pics of it?

yes aydin, you car deffinately looks awesome, i have a suggestion though, don't get a monitor/dvd combo...they look like crap and plus is hard for anyone to even see the tv, do a custom install on the tv's it will look much nicer

if I ever get around to do my dvd setup, I'll use this as my screen then fit a 7" in the glove box

Aydin, there is a guy on revscene.net selling his Pioneer deck/LCD combo. It probably isn't what you're ideally looking for, but it is a fair deal. I believe he's asking $1150 CAD for the whole thing.

Here's the link...

Actually, I think that's a great deal...considering that I just paid $3000 CAD for the Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD.

Oh yeah, there's a TL/CL meet in Vancouver on December 7/03. It would be great if you showed up. We don't usually have great turnouts, but a couple other members and I are trying to change that. Here's the link to the meet thread over on A_CL.com...

Thanks for the revescene website. I am trying to get registered there now. That does sound like a pretty good deal.

I was suppose to pick it up from the guy on saturday, but some guy offered him 1200 so he sold it to him. I feel ripped off. It would have been a good deal. At least i don't have to spend a couple hundred bucks to get the installation done now. I've been told that our cars are the worst for that and yhou have to re-wire all the speakers or even replace them. Is this true?

Well, I'm not too knowledgeable about car audio, but it is my belief that if you do upgrade your speakers you do have to re-wire...in any car. My guess is that the stock wiring can only handle so much power. With the new speakers needing more power, you would need a 0, 2, or whatever guage wiring that would accomodate them. Using higher performance speakers with the stock wiring is akin to trying to drink an entire river of water through a super-tiny straw...not very effective.

I don't have the expertise to go more in-depth about that, but hopefully one of the ICE gurus on here can answer your question in more detail.

If in doubt, do what I did, have a professional do the install for you. My system came out to about $17,000 CAD(give or take a couple grand...with 10% of that being labour)

If you want to check it out...come to the meet

Up here in Canada, they go for $700 CAD...or about $500 USD. Seeing as how electronics are usually more expensive here, my guess is that it'll probably be around $350 to $400 USD where you're at.
