anybody put a psp in their tsx

i have a cg 2004 at tsx with navi. a couple of months agoi installed the PIE aux input with a y harness and it works perfectly. living in chicago, i find that chicago radio sucks, unless im listening to espn radio on the am dial.

because chicago radio is terrible i needed some kind of digital media player. i chose the sony psp for its versatility. the drawback is that its storage is a fraction of the ipod. you can get a psp + 2gb memory stick for about 350-400.

if you are a computer dork like i am, the versatility of the psp is so much greater than the storage space of an ipod. can put music, play movies, display pictures and play games (hopefully no one will do the latter while driving). if you know what you are doing with a psp you can convert dvd movies to play on your psp, and play snes, genesis, and nes games also. my psp is my cars best friend for those reasons.

i dont have a picture yet (mostly becasue the install isnt the prettiest). but if people want to see it, i guess ill take a picture and post it. i guess what i am trying to say is that the ipod isnt necessarily the end all for your cars entertainment needs

Well if you already own a PSP and don't want to shell out hundreds more for a DVD player, TV, head unit with mp3 player, in the car that's pretty convenient. Not to mention he has digital storage rather than carrying around a DVD book. When he leaves his car they have nothing fancy to steal unless he leaves his PSP in the car.

if he wanted to watch dvd's in the car while driving, on his PSP, good luck, that screen is smaller than the stock navi screen, let alone custom mounting it would cost just as much as the extra couple hundred bucks he could've used to buy a nav-video converter.

still a waste IMO.

great idea to do that, since it was from MTV's Pimp My Ride.

Yeah if he paid so much extra to custom mount. But can a mounting job really cost more than all that I've listed? Plus the digital storage wasn't addressed.

i have a mini jack plug that i use for my iPod. all i have to do is plug that jack into my psp, and voila, the psp plays through my system. not as loud sometimes as i wish it could be, but definitley awesome. maybe not the safest idea, but for highway driving you could rest it just behind the steering wheel in front of the speedo, seeing as you would drive cruise control anyways, and thats a good spot for it for the driver's line of sight..kinda. but it works, and its cool. maybe ill take a pic

Send me a TSX and PSP and I'll be happy too. I don't have the setup, the first guy does.
