i own a cl-s..and my sub has been powered by a hifonics 500 brutus for nearly a year now. however after the 5 month period, it's been giving me nothing but problems. it just randomly cuts out on me and doesnt work, as in the amp is not powered at all. we managed to fix the problem first time around by switching the ground location..and that worked fine for aabout a month or two. now it's just randomly turning off and on once again, and i have no idea wtf is causing it...anybody know the solution to this problem? and no i dont think its overheating

 

Grounding the remote wire or the speaker wire by accident perhaps? Loose internal connection? Check that the speaker wire insulation isn't cut and touching metal. You could take a short piece of wire and jump from the battery terminal to the remote terminal (leaving the amp always on) and see if it still cuts out, that would tell you if you have a bad remote connection. Otherwise open it up and see if shit is loose. No idea really, but things to try.
