Hey guys, sorry if this has already been answered but i didnt find it, i just recently purchased my 2000 tl-p and i like the stereo the way it is except for maybe i want to get one new speaker below the back windshield instead of the bose subwoofer already installed (if thats possible), but the only problem is that the bose cd player does not read burned cd's, is there any way to bypass this without changing the head unit? thanx

I also have a 2000 TL. My stock stereo couldn't play burned CD's either. I read several posts a few years ago and they suggested getting a 6-disc indash changer out of a 2002 or 2003 TL. I bought one out of a 2003 a while back on Ebay. It plays every type of CD you'd want, including burned CD's. Wiring is all the same. Stereo was hard to get out at first, but its pretty easy when following the instructions found on this site

Thats the only option available if you want to keep a stock head unit.

thanks that really helps! im gonna look into it, but i might just do a whole aftermarket conversion

easiest way is to get a dmm and adjust the cd lens pots but messing up can be easy .
