HAve a friend who is using the FM transmitter, and says the sound sucks.

He has an 86 Bimmer 528e though.

I have a friend that swears by the fm modulator and another that swears by the tape option. Either way, the sound quality will be diminished a bit. When I had the BMW with the integrated Ipod, that was really nice.

Try both, they are relatively cheap and whichever one you like more, keep it and return the other.

Once someone comes out with a hard-wired way of using my iPod in my 04 TL, I will. And a cassette adaptor isn't acceptable.

Nope. Blitzsafe doesn't support the 04 and up. A rep says they are working on something. Every product out there requires you to disable your XM radio in order to connect an iPod through an AUX input if you don't have navi, and those with navi will have an even harder time hooking one up.

I use the good ol fashioned cassette adapter. Sure there is a drop off in sound quality, but I'm on the Acura factory system, and I don't play my music too loud anyway, so it's barely noticeable.

Gets the job done for me.

i use the iTrip for my ipod mini...no wires and the quality is better than radio but a little worse than cd/mp3 it sounds fine as long as you arent trying to jam out super loud or anything

until they come up with a cheap and easy interface - I am a lazy bastard and I refuse to go thru $$ and troubles & stress.
iTrip is good enough for me. $39 - end of story

if all you want is an FM transmitter, dont buy anything but the iTrip.

it plugs directly into the head unit. its the best option for Aux input into the stock head unit quality wise.

I don't know what kind of car you have, but installation in the CL is easy. unscrew the center console, plug the harness in., put the center console back together, and you're done.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110342

pros? better quality than fm transmitters and tape converter.
cons? uhh, have to do a little work to take off the console?
