AMP/subs problem....

OK my subs are being weird now, actually more like my amp is. My amp cuts out at LOW volume... isnt that weird?!?! Like it shuts off completey! I have to have the voulme all the way up for it start. I tried to adjust the bass control on the EQ but its still doing it. Only at low volumes.. what can be the problem? You guys think its the amp, or the wiring? If it matters, its the Directed 1100d amp.

It sounds weird, but make sure your remote turn on wire isnt connected to a speaker wire, I've seen that done before, and the amp would only be on when there was a peak in the music.

Check the remote wire. I hope your installer screwed up, otherwise, I get to laugh at your amp again

My old Kenwood Monoamp did this too.

I would have to crank the sucka to get the bass going. But in the end I still couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. (I traded the car in for the CL-S like a month after it started doing this)

Here are a few things you can check:
- Make sure you have a good solid ground. Take a steel wool to the contact area to make sure it's metal to metal.
- Check the remote to make sure it's connect correctly.
- Buy a 1 farad cap...i'm not familiar with Directed's amps, but it could be pulling so much power that your battery can't handle it.
