I don't know a lot about this stuff but have been reading up. I am looking to add a sub and amp to my stick sound system. I have not yet decided on the amp or sub. I ahve been looking on ebay for both becuase it is very cheap in ebay. I was also looking at 1 10" sub. I dont know if thats enough or what not. I am looking for clean bass. Nothing like a football players car but something that hits a little harder and cleaner then the stock system. I am also looking to spend less than $300. I found an Audiobahn amp the a8000t that is a mono sub amp and costs $170. They have the same amp in 2 channels. Are they good and which would be better for 1 sub. I was also looking at a Audiobahn sub that handles upto 600 watts for like $65. Any ideas, information, and suggests would be greatly appreciated.

 

Here's a word of advice - the rear seat has steel plates in it to serve as a load floor when it is folded down, and as a result you hear less bass in the front from the trunk than you would say in an Accord without the folding rear seat. So you might need a little more output than you think you do. I lean towards the 12" for that reason, but we did a Jl 10W0 in joerockt's car and it worked fine. He listens to a lot of rock music, not so much rap, as I remember.

I personally am not a fan of Audiobahn.

If you have a $300 budget for gear why not get a JL 10W0 or 12W0 ( 119 for a 12" - http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=10741 ) , a box (here's a cheapie - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...736653735&rd=1 ), and a JL Audio e1200 bass amp for $144 ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...736007995&rd=1 )

By the way, where did you hear a football player's car?
