I bought a cheap Kenwood head unit and would like to add a single 12" subwoofer while keeping other speakers stock. Will a 5 channel amp that has 100 watt x 4 and 400 watt x 1 work? Would I also need to get crossovers?

 

I did some research and I'm going with 500w mono JL amp and let the HU handle the stock speakers.
