amp installation instructions

Hi, I am new to installing my own electronics in my car. I'm gonna install my new sub amp in the trunk of my car. is there any way someone could start me off with instructions on how to get the power cable from the battery in the front on a tl 2002 type s, through the firewall and to the trunk where the amp is located. also any following instrauctions on the best way to get to the factory sub amp, like how to remove the back seats.

thanks a bunch, cschaul

cschaul, there have been a couple guys say how they have ran power through the firewall, and quite a few that have said how they wired in a new sub and amp, all the way up to a whole new system. I would say do a search (button all the way to the left), and see which ones sound the easiest. If all you are doing is a new sub with an amp, you should do it yourself so you get experience, familiarity, and the pride that comes with installing your own work. Just take your time.

no signal

i hooked up my new amp, the power light is on, receiving ground, 12V, and turn-on. But i hook the two wires inside the brown sheath to the line-rca converter and i get no signal out of the amp to my subs. Then i hooked the sub up directly to the two wires inside the brown sheath and still no sound. Are the two wires inside the brown sheath the signal + and -??? Please help, almost done with the install!
