amp installation with factory head unit
I installed a pioneer amp and a pair of subs last night. i followed drcookie's instruction but i don't think i got it right.
I got the power, ground and remote turn on correct. but since i'm using a factory headunit with this amp i had to use speaker level input.... this is where it got really confusing. which wires do I need to tap for speaker level input???
when i tapped few wires they all seem to work but i don't know if i got the polarity right
i did a search on this but it says blue/orange and orange green is the wire to tap... doesn't seem like there's a blue wire with orange strip or orange with green...and on the bose amp there's pair of each color..for example there's two orange...two green ...two blue and so on
so please help me with this...

so you're hooking up an aftermarket amp to the stock hu, rite? i believe that's what dr cookie did also...
you want to tap the wires that go into the bose stock sub amp. if i remember correctly, the inputs you want to tap are wrapped in brown plastic. inside it you should find the two wires, blue/green, and orange/blue, that you've read about. blue/green is (+) and orange/blue is (-).
this is a low (preamp) level mono input that comes from the stock equalizer, not high (speaker) level. the stock bose amp takes this signal, then amplifies it, then sends the signal to the stock sub (via the 2 pairs of white/green and black/white wires)
