Question amp instal

can anyone help and tell me where and how to get to that sub stock amp. I have been told it is behind the rear seat, so how do you get to it. And can you get all the signal you need from the stock amp to add on the aftermarket one. As far as power and signal??
Thanks in advance, Omar

you have to take out the rear seats to get to it. you can only take out the back part seat, but you might risk scratching the bottom.

you can get the sub signal from there, but not the door speakers. the only power wire you get from there is the remote wire

it is located on the right side behind the seat back. you need to remove the floor from the trunk and pop 2 plastic clips out. and remove the carpeted cover that goes around the shock tower and along behind the seat back. the amp is is big as your hand. the remote wire is blue after it passes through the connector on its way to the amp. there is also signal wires that are twisted and covered in a brown sheath. the turnon lead is a very low current capacity. it would not turn on my amp. you may have to boost the current on the turn on wire by installing a transistor and hooking the base of the transistor to the turn on wire, the emitter to the amp and the collector to 12 volts. i cant remember if you use a NPN or PNP transistor.

Thumbs up

Thanks a bunch for the info. Really had no desire to take this to a shop. I really prefer to do this on my own, and this was 50% of the worry. Thanks again I will let you know how it goes and hopefully get some pics in!!
