Unhappy AMP Blowout

Has anyone had problems with the TL's alternator and/or battery not being strong enough to run their aftermarket stereo?
I have 2 Precision Power amps, one 4x50. the other a mono amp 1x200. The mono amp has blown twice in 3 months!!?? What is wrong?? I really do not play the stereo that loud. Was the amp wired wrong?? Help!! Thanks!!!

ive got pretty much the same setup as you. only with alpine amps with slightly more power. no problems in 6 months

what guage wire are you running? when you say they blew, you mean the fuse on the amps right? what size fuse on the power wire?

Mr. TL, I am not sure what the guage of the power wire is but it is made by Phoenix Gold. I feel that my installer has probably incorectly wired the system. My subwoofer amp is blown!
How do you correctly wire a amp to a subwoofer in the trunk, starting from the Bose HU? Should you bypass the EQ/amp unit above the HU? Is an inline converter needed? Do you bypass the Bose subwoofer amp behind the back seat?? Thanks!!!

you will definately need a line converter. that might be the problem is he didnt use one

you dont need to bypass any factory amps, but some people do anyway
